Description:
A beautiful gem uncirculated 1980 (1400 AH) twenty Egyptian piasters copper-nickel coin. The obverse of the coin depicts a standing eagle with a shield on its chest on the obverse. The shield is clear and has no display. The eagle has the words "Itehad Al-Gomhuryiah Al-Arabiyah" in a banner under his feet and the words Arab Republic of Egypt under it all. The reverse shows the denomination, the date in both AD and AH, and the words "Gumhoryet Misr al-Arabyah" or Arab Republic of Egypt. The reverse also has a beautiful Arabesque decoration in the bottom. The coin is absolutely brilliant and has beautiful clear fields with lustrous appearance. It is KM-507 and weighs about 9.8 grams and measures ~30 mm in diameter and has a reeded edge. Please carefully review the photos presented as they are part and parcel of our description.

For international buyers, please note that the new US postal rates for overseas shipping are very high and we are unable to change them. Additional charges will be incurred depending on the value of the item. Please check the cost of shipping before bidding. I would grade the coin as gem uncirculated with clear fields and with all of its details being well preserved and showing no wear. The coin is lustrous and has great eye appeal. It has a few surface scratches and some minor bag marks but these truly do not affect the quality and beauty of the coin. The coin is much better than the photos suggest. Please see photo for additional condition information.
