Description:
Beautiful brilliant uncirculated 1974 (1394 AH) one Egyptian pound silver coin. The coin depicts the image of a soldier standing with a weapon on his shoulder crossing a body of water (presumably the Suez Canal) on the obverse. The coin which commemorates the one year anniversary of the 16 October 1973 (or 10 Ramadan 1393 AH) war against Israel (the Yum Kippur war) is labeled Gomhouriat Masir al-Arabyiah (Arab Republic of Egypt) and shows the denomination on the reverse. It is KM-443 and weighs about 15 grams of 0.72 silver. It measures approximately 35 mm in diameter. Please carefully review the scan presented as it is part and parcel of our description.
Date:
1974 AD - 1394 AH.
Mint:
Egypt.
Size and weight:
This is a one pound, weighs ~15 grams and is ~35 mm in diameter.
References:
It is KM #443.
Condition:
I would grade this coin as a beautiful brilliant uncirculated with all the details being very well preserved and all of its original mint luster with nice clear fields and a beautiful design. The coin is much better than the scan shows. It does have some minor scratches, bag marks, and a couple of small dings to the rim but nothing of concern. Just a great looking coin which is rare in this state. Please see photo for condition information.
