Details
Description:
A beautiful about extremely fine to about uncirculated coin from Egypt. This is the 1366 AH or 1947 AD one millieme (tenth of a Piaster or Qirsh) bronze coin. The coin depicts the uniformed bust of king Farouk the first facing left and wearing a fez on the obverse. The reverse has the denomination, the AH and the AD dates and saying "al-mamlakah al masryah" or the Egyptian Kingdom. The coin is nicely toned and has nice eye appeal, it is much better than the scan suggests. Please carefully review the scan as it is part and parcel of our description.
Date:
1947.
Mint:
Egypt.
Size and weight:
This is a 1/10 of a Qirsh or one millieme, weighs ~4.4 grams and is ~23 mm in diameter.
References:
It is KM #358.
Condition:
I would grade this coin as a good beautiful extremely fine or much better with all the details being very well preserved and having beautiful toning and great eye appeal. The coin has a few scratches and some minor bag marks. However, these do not distract from the beauty or quality of the coin. It is much better than the scan shows. Please see scan for additional condition information.
