True Antique  7" Gold Gilt Wood American Eagle Flag Pole Topper Finial - Salvage

This Is a True Antique Gilt Wood American Eagle Flag Pole Topper Finial that belonged to my father who purchased it used at our St Hedwigs church flea market when I was a child  . I am 79 and it was already old when I was a child . It measures almost 7 inches . It has nicks and chips and has been glued back together (over 50 years ago)  but was always on the end of a wood flag pole hanging in the enclosed front portico of our house while growing up . Wen we were selling my parents home and had an estate sale 20 years ago so many people wanted to buy the flag with all of its gold fringe and this topper but we did not want to sell it at that time . Now we are downsizing for an eventual move so here it is on EBAY ...I am keeping the flag . It is quite heavy for its size . I am sorry but I truly know nothing else about this eagle .
